S&B offers you a great variety of activities that you can pursue outdoors – mainly related to the relaxing setting close to the beautiful Atlantic coast. The main activities include surfing, kayaking, fishing and exploring the biodiversity of the area.
Kayaking
This is an activity for everyone, it’s easy to learn and lots of fun. We can suggest different kayaking routes to you, e.g. to the cliffs of San Andrés de Teixido (which are the highest one of continental Europe with more than 600 meters in height), if the waves allow it. Or you can also kayak in the beautiful and nice waves of the beach of Villarube. Our recreational kayaks are very stable and easy to maneuver which makes them ideal for everyone with no or limited experience to discover this sport!
Surf Casting
Back in the days, fishing has been the main revenue source for the inhabitants of Valdoviño, therefore we want to maintain this tradition and show the roots of our tradition. Surf casting is the fishing done out of seashore. Fishing is the perfect activity to relax and enjoy the day near the shore with friends and travel buddies.
Bikes
If you would like to get to know the area a bit better and visit nearby beaches and towns, we offer bikes, helmets and tell you good tracks how to best explore the vicinity in an easy and sustainable way. In only a few kilometers, there are up to 15 different beaches for you to explore.
Hiking
S&B will provide you routes and maps to discover the best corners of our heritage, such as the highest cliffs in Europe, San Andres de Teixido, or many of the traditional villages of Galicia where you can enjoy the delicious gastronomy.
Environment classroom
Here you will learn more about the ecosystem in which we are as well as the different animal species in this region. For example in the lagoon A Frouxeira (Valdoviño) which is located 300m from S&B has high environmental value due to the different bird species living in it. The lagoon is a protected area and has been declared a Ramsar territory (wetland of international importance)
